Cowboy Coal Process Overview
FMI NewCoal, Inc. (FMI) has patented a technology for the enhancement
of Powder River Basin coal, which has been tested extensively at Batelle Laboratories
in Ohio and Western Research Institute in Laramie, Wyoming. The patented process
represents a significant advancement in coal enhancement technology. In addition
to water removal, the technology reduces the merucry
content of the coal. FMI operates a Commercial scale Demo Plant, to
establish production capability, product handling and product stability.
